Mission Endure 32: A New Fan of John MacArthur
Sunday I became a John MacArthur fan. Although I have used his Study Bible notes for years, and it is a wonderful resource full of incredible information, I have never been a big fan of John MacArthur. I have admired MacArthur's ability to communicate for a log time. But, he is a little too Calvinistic and dogmatic in his beliefs for me. That all changed on Sunday. I attended church here back home where we live in Illinois on Saturday evening. Sunday morning I decided to watch the Grace Community Church service on their livestream feed available on the www.gracechurch.org website. Our family attends Grace Community Church occasionally on Sunday evenings when we visit our hometown in the LA area. The sermon on Sunday morning was outstanding. It was a Biblical centered sermon focused on why the current problems our country is experiencing in 2020 will probably not be getting better anytime soon, but will probably get worse over time. It wasn't a political statement. It was a statement that our country has a problem with unrepentant sin. Plain and simple. MacArthur has nailed it and says it in a very compelling way. I am now a fan. The service is long, but well worth the watch. This sermon was given live on September 6, 2020
